How this site works, and how to check us

We don't earn a commission for steering you

As of today, we have no agreement with any insurer. Nothing on this site is commission-driven, because there is no commission to earn yet. If that changes — if we sign an agreement that lets us earn on a policy bought through us — we will say so, on this page, before it happens. Not after, and not buried in a footnote.

Where we compare insurers, the comparison shows real published prices with a source and a date for each one. There is no “recommended” option and no button that earns us anything for which one you pick.

Every figure has a source and a date

Two kinds of number appear on this site, and we never blur them:

• Government-set figures — the levy, the security bond, Work Permit fees — come directly from MOM's own pages, linked from every line that uses them. These are exact amounts, not estimates.
• Market-priced figures — the insurance premium, the medical exam fee — are not set by law. MOM sets a minimum requirement; the price is set by insurers and clinics, and varies. We show a real range sourced from named providers, never a single number dressed up as if it were fixed by statute.

Every calculator on this site shows how long ago its figures were last checked, and warns you if any of them are overdue for a recheck rather than silently showing a number that might be stale.

Something look wrong? Tell us — support@matchmaid.ai. A wrong figure here is worse than no figure at all, and we would rather be corrected than keep showing it.

The security bond, in one sentence

The S$5,000 security bond you'll see mentioned is a pledge to MOM, not money you hand over — it's a guarantee, usually bundled into your insurance premium at no extra charge. We show it separately from the actual costs for exactly that reason: it shouldn't be added to a total of money you're spending, because it isn't that.

Shwe Match Pte. Ltd. is a licensed employment agency in Singapore — MOM EA licence 26C3625. You can look up that licence yourself on MOM's public Employment Agencies Directory rather than take our word for it.
